Description
SIMEPAR Pharmacological action
Combined preparation for treating diseases of the liver and biliary tract. Hepatoprotector.
The structure of the drug is a complex of vitamins and extract of the
fruits thistle, which contains silymarin – a group of flavonoid
compounds fenilhromanovoy structure (including isomers: silibinin, and
silidianin silikristin).
Silymarin protects hepatocytes from exposure to hepatotoxic agents,
prevents destruction of cell membranes. Improves cellular metabolism.
Has hepatoprotective effect of acute and chronic intoxication, as well
as antioxidant activity due to binding of free radicals in liver
tissue. Has membrane-stabilizing activity, stimulates protein
synthesis, promotes regeneration of hepatocytes.
Vitamins that are part of the preparation, function as coenzymes in various reactions of carbohydrate and protein metabolism.
- Pharmacokinetics
- The absorption and distribution simepar
- After oral administration, silymarin increasingly allocated to the bile, passing the intrahepatic system.
- Metabolism and Elimination
Silibinin is excreted in the
urine. Removing silibinina continued for 24 h. The total amount
silibinina excreted in bile, is 20-40% of the dose of only 3-7% of the
total dose excreted in urine. Metabolites, in particular, sulfate and
glucuronide, and conclusions and the bile.
Indications
– Cirrhosis of the liver.
